Hello guys .... !!
I like this group .... I don't want to eliminate it !!!!
THAT being understood ...
Here is why I've been so 'demanding' .... about 'voting'
 
The group is only 7 months old ... It is a new concept for me .... and I post different 'themes' each time ....
I am experimenting .... looking for ways to deliver better 'stuff' that you will enjoy ... all within my self imposed
standards ..... I want the BEST .. !
 
To do that I need your feedback .... I need a 'feeling' for the group preferences .... and the only way I can get that is by your evaluation of each posting .... and I need many votes in order to get a true picture .... For a group this size, I would think that 100 'voters' would be great .... but would accept less as being a true polling .. !
 
I know that it's a hassle for busy people to go through all the steps to get to the 'voting' page .... Googlegroups once upon a time made the process more difficult ... I don't know why .... it seems to be the removal of another tool that managers need to operate a group ...
 
SO, I've found a way for ALL of you to vote with only one click on a star ... !!
 
The solution was there all the time ...
I think most people should be on 'Digest Mail' .... This way you receive only one email from me each posting day ....
I've attached a typical day's postings received by Digest Mail (see page one of the attachments) .... As you can see there is a summary at the top that tells you what is included in that email .... so you can open only those that interest you ... (My feedback information tells me how many people have voted for each item ... so, I can assume that if there is no vote .... you skipped it)
 
Now the interesting part ... (see page 2 of the attachment) .... When you open an item, you see all the pictures .... and if you scroll a bit to the bottom .... you see the blank stars ready to accept you vote .... See the content and vote !!
Simple as that !!
 
Advantages .... You are not overwhelmed by a bunch of emails arriving at the same time .... and the busy members can glance through them with ease ..
 
Disadvantages .... Your mail will arrive later in the day .... and you cannot download all pictures together in a zip file .... Pictures must be downloaded individually ...

I have taken the liberty in changing some people to Digest Mail ... Everyone whose email begins by a number or the letter 'A' have been set on 'Digest' ..... Just follow the steps mentionned above to re-set if you wish ...
 
I will be posting 3-4 times today .... just to try out the system with the 120 people in the A's
 
By the way, I don't like when members go on 'No Mail' .... You don't get the same quality image when you view from the home page .... I may be asking questions when I see someone there ... and the reason better be pretty good .... or, you will simply be removed .... Digest Mail is the perfect solution for you !
 
I hope to see the great majority of you on Digest in the new year ...
I am taking a small break in January .... until about the 11th-12th ...
