I'm going to play that little tune again .... (Voting)
It looks like googlegroups has corrected the 'star' system of evaluation ...
You must go to the home page .... click'Discussions' .... then open the posting you wish to evaluate .... scroll to the bottom ....
.... and click on one of the stars .... !! .. and do this for each item ..
 
 
Here are the homepages again ....
 
 
 
It is important for me that as many people as possible participate ... for two reasons ...
 
(1) It gives me a very good idea of your likes/dislikes .... and the more people who participate .... the better the accuracy is ...
 .... Here is how I want you to evaluate my stuff ...
 .... An example is 'Hooters' .... and you just love those big tits ... I don't want you voting 5 stars every time because they are hooters ... !!
There are days when the subject is better than others ... so, set your level between very good and very bad ....  and consider that day only ...
 
I don't want you to be like the guy who wrote me to say he votes for everything he dislikes .... and I should consider all the rest as things he likes ... !!! All this does is falsify the results .... and vice versa is the same ...
 
 
(2) As all owners/moderators know ... there is very little participation by members ....
... so, my barometer for 'Thank You' is the number of people who vote ...
  ... the greater the number ... the more encouraged I am to continue posting all this 'stuff'
 
  I DO ALL THIS TO PLEASE YOU .... and my only reward is the number of voters ....  so, you can take a few minutes to 'cast your ballot' !!
 
This is the last time I mention the subject ...
The next time I feel there is not enough participation in a group .... I pull the plug ... and go on to other things ...
 
If you feel that this is a threat .... IT IS  .. !! (The last one)
